No, this week we take a delve into another way to waste your time; highlining. I caught up with a bunch of them over the Shaff weekend, and was intrigued to find out more about the sport. They were some of the UK's most committed highliners, gathered by Sheffield local, and current world-record holder, Sarah Rixham. 

The coolest cat in the cupboard, the ultimate helmet-boiler, master of RP hijinx and the loose-hold two-step, Paul Pritchard is this week's guest reader. What a mondo privilege to have this hone read us a story. It comes from his award-winning collection, Deep Play. I also refer to The Totem Pole in the intro. They are both worth getting your hands on. If I know of anywhere they can be easily shoplifted from I'll let you know - after I get one myself, of course.

I’m releasing Tommy Caldwell – not the way a Kyrgyz rebel might release Tommy Caldwell, but in a podcast kinda way. This was recorded at this year’s Kendal Film Festival where I lured him into a small art room and locked the door.

As a start I have just read out one of my own stories called The Dimmest Glimmer, a story about the fears of youth, set in a tumbledown climbers’ hut at the edges of Fair Head, the big, dark crag in Northern Ireland.
